URBAN WALLS

Urban surfaces, Timeless design

URBAN WALLS is the debut project by MiTch Laurenzana - his most conceptual and celebrated collection - which transforms memory into evolution. At the heart of this research are antique frames and paintings rescued from oblivion and regenerated to inhabit contemporary spaces. These pieces are "small urban walls": design objects that merge the graphic aesthetics of Visual Design with the nobility of Calce del Brenta. The use of marble powder, a prestigious natural material, bestows upon the works a sense of timelessness and a tangible, intrinsic value.

These "miniature walls" do not shout; instead, they suggest profound reflections through micro-details and hidden messages. The dialogue with the collector often continues on the reverse of the canvas, where - to one's surprise - the keys to interpreting the work may be concealed alongside historical originals of great value. It is an indissoluble bond between past and present, capable of enchanting every generation.

Embracing the "bright side of error," MiTch transforms social tension into an exercise of "thinking out loud," moving from the materiality of lime to the edge of conceptual art. By combining marble powder, synthetic glass, and centuries-old frames, MiTch composes a language defined as "IN ARMONIA" (In Harmony).
His works serve as catalysts for introspection that demystify daily life, inviting us to rediscover the value of memory in a world that moves too fast.
