Newton was the first to understand, and reveal, the nature and composition of light: he used a glass prism to break down the white light of the sun into the spectrum of the iris, where the colors fade from red to orange, from orange to yellow, then to green and blue, up to indigo and violet.
Newton explained the formation of the spectrum by admitting that all colors were already present in the “white” light of the sun before its decomposition.
Beyond the white thus represents a portal, the prism that allows you to glimpse who is “inside”, beyond.
It’s the observer who must decide whether to cross the threshold to feed on the colors of the outside world; or whether to see it as a symbol that knows how to overcome the earthly physical forms.
Whatever our choice, the whitest light of white is for everyone. It’s there to remind us of having lived, or to give us the serenity and the continuous memory of those who have passed through it.
