Drawing inspiration from the myth of Dorian Gray, Mitch Laurenzana utilizes Artificial Intelligence (DALL-E 2, Stable Diffusion) to shape digital entities that reflect our souls rather than our faces: a mosaic of anxieties, fragilities, and invisible scars.
Celebrated internationally - from New York to Shanghai - this work invites us to rediscover what it truly means to be human in the digital age. Awarded the 2024 Special Mention for the best Italian project in the China-Italy Contemporary Art Yearbook, the project transforms language into visual matter, questioning the boundary between man and machine through piercing gazes that serve as collective mirrors of our naked humanity.
